“Ah ah ineng ang taba mo na”

That was what my mother told me before 2016 ended. And I was feeling it too. Ang dami kong humps, I can’t wear the clothes I donned before. Most of my dresses don’t fit me anymore ☹️

I breastfeed.

Am I supposed to lose weight?

Does breastfeeding really help mothers to lose weight?


it depends….

Based on my experience it doesn’t help me lose weight. Because I always feel hungry! I gained weight when I started to eat late dinner whenever I got home after office. Then had a chuncky lunch box kaya ayun! Gained 3kilos. I was complacent kasi na I won’t gain kasi nga I am breastfeeding.

But I was wrong…..

I am an enougher so the calories I burned when I nurse and pump isn’t enough for me to lose weight kahit na regular ang kain ko.

Totoo yan!

I was 50kilos after I gave birth. And would wish to trim at least 3kilos yung kung gaano ako kabigat before I get pregnant to Kiehl. Passed 6months after my pregnancy and huh! I gained 3kilos! I weighed 53kilos last January 4.

I can’t be overweight!

Why? Kasi ang mahal naman mga bes bumili uli ng mga damit pang office eh. My goal is to get back to old me so I can wear my dresses with S sizes. Opo nasusuot ko pa sila – pero teh bukol bukol na ako 😂 at ang sagwa tingnan! I can’t button my blouses pa.


I told my husband I need to exercise and lose weight. Syempre bawas din food intake but not  much so as not to affect my milk supply. And he’s supportive of me. Kahit na nag aalarm ako quarter before 5am at I am feeling lazy to wake up., he is doing his best para mawala na antok ko at tuluyang bumangon so I can exercise.

Parang mag one week pa lang na I am doing at least 15minute exercise and less food intake than before plus my breastfeeding and wow in a span of 6 days balik 50kilos ako! 😳 di ba ang bilis? Kaya I am very eager to pursue my beach body goal hahaha…

wag sana maapektuhan ang milk supply ko…

and let the beach body challenge begin!
